- Selalu membawa karbohidrat sederhana yang dapat dikonsumsi ketika mengalami gejala hipoglikemi (madu, selai, dll)
- Diet gizi seimbang: karbohidrat tidak berlebihan, protein dan serat cukup, lemak minimal. Sayur sesuai kebutuhan dan buah segar 2 porsi/hari, namun menghindari jus atau sirup
- Minum minimal 8 gelas per hari dan selalu membawa bekal air yang cukup
- Jika menggunakan insulin, sebelum ihram, cek kadar gula darah. Jika diperlukan, dapat menggunakan insulin dosis kecil untuk hiperglikemia, dan atai beberapa roti untuk hipoglikemia
- Jika menggunakan insulin, sebelum atau selama berjalan jauh, dosis insulin dapat disesuaikan
- Sebelum thawaf dan sa’I, mengonsumsi beberapa karbohidrat ekstra (roti lebih disukai)
- Berjalan pelan selama thawaf dan sa’I, dan berusaha melindungi kaki (kesandung, terinjak, dsb)
- Jika demam, diare, muntah, atau ada kondisi lain, segera konsultasi ke dokter
